Originally from Detroit Lakes, MN. Jason spent 20 years growing his music carear in Hutchinson, MN. where he started a teaching studio, Groove Street Music Studio, taught at numerous schools, recorded and performed with his band, the Jason Schooler Band and was involved in many other various music projects.

In 2017 Jason retired from music, selling his studio and all his instruments to buy sewing machines (you can ask him about that!). Jason and family moved to Duluth, MN. that year .

Coming out of retirement in 2022, Jason performs with the Jason Schooler Band.

Weaving elements of country, blues, rock, and folk the Jason Schooler Band creates an eclectic sound that blends familiarity with a refreshing twist. Comprised of bass guitarist Matt Prois, electric guitarist Wes Huebert, and acoustic guitarist Jason Schooler, the band's cohesive and harmonious dynamic stems from their shared musical background and appreciation for their craft.
